A lot of straight riding to get to Park Road 4

Park Road 4 near Buchanan, TX is a fun ~15-miler road, but we sure had to drive far from Fredericksburg to get to it.  We rode it during the week so there wasn’t too much traffic, but since it is near Lake Buchanan, it probably gets busy on weekends.  When we did head back home, we detoured onto FM-2341 and County road 104/FM-690 where one could see some of the lake.  The detailed route (total of ~160 mi) is shown below:

From downtown Fredericksburg, TX,

North on TX-16 N/ Llano Rd    Go 38.3 mi to Llano.

Right onto TX-29 E/ E Young Street after bridge.  Go 20.4 mi.

Right onto Park Road 4 W/ State Park Road 4.  Go 15.7 mi.

Left onto US-281 N.  Go 4.6 mi to Burnett.

Left onto TX-29/ Buchanan Drive/ W Polk St.  Go 0.2 mi to restaurant on right.  80 mi to here.

(We ate at Crazy Gals cafe which had good omelets and other home cooking.)

Head west on TX-29 W.  There will be gas stations on the right before next turn.  Go 3.1 mi.

Right onto FM-2341.  Go 4.6 mi.

Left onto County Road 104 (known as Little Midland-Dorbandt Rd on Google maps). Go 2.2 mi.

Straight onto FM-690.  Go 5.6 mi.

Right onto TX-29 W.  Go 19.4 mi back to Llano.

Left onto TX-16 S/ Bessemer Ave.  Go 38 mi back to Fredericksburg.
